Gulmarg Gondola
Gulmarg Gondola is a high-altitude cable vehicle in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir, India’s union territory. The Dagu Glacier Gondola is one of the higher lines. The two-stage gondola lift transports roughly 600 people every hour between Kongdoori Mountain and Apharwat Peak (4,200 m (13,780 ft)). The ropeway project is a collaboration between the government of Jammu & Kashmir and the French business Pomagalski. The first stage takes you from Gulmarg Resort at 2,600 metres (8,530 feet) to Kongdoori Station in the Kongdori valley’s bowl form. The ropeway’s second stage, with 36 cabins and 18 towers, transports skiers to a height of 3,747 metres (12,293 feet) on Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of adjacent Afarwat Peak (4,200 metres (13,780 feet).
The second stage, which cost 180,000,000 Indian Rupees (about US$4.5 million) and opened on May 28, 2005, was constructed in a record time of roughly two years at a cost of 180,000,000 Indian Rupees (approximately US$4.5 million). In 1998, the French business completed the first phase of the gondola project, which connected Gulmarg and Kongdoori.

Mughal Gardens
The famed Mughal gardens of Kashmir owe their splendour mostly to Emperor Jahangir and his son Shah Jahan, who had an unwavering passion for Kashmir. Jahangir was in charge of carefully selecting the site and manipulating it to meet the needs of the traditional paradise gardens. Although the Mughals never strayed too far from the original form or concept of the gardens, their largest problem in Kashmir was to make the most of the chosen location and abundant water supply. The chosen locations were always at the foot of a mountain, where there was a source of water in the form of streams or springs. Terraced garden plans evolved as a result of this feature.
Nishat, Shalimar, Chasmashahi, Harwan and botincial gardens are the famous ones.

Skiing In Winter
Gulmarg is the world’s third-highest ski resort, at an elevation of 3950 metres, and is famed for its fluffy snow runs. The beautiful Apharwat peak (4390m) boasts Asia’s longest ski slope. Despite its natural beauty, Gulmarg may be hectic as a ski resort, and additional infrastructure is needed to do credit to the magnificent mountains. Still, the limitless slopes and superb snow conditions in the ski town are reason enough to visit for a few days of skiing or snowboarding.
